Deep Red Dualshock 3 Controller Review
When you buy a gaming system, normally there is at least one controller included with the package and most of the time, people don’t even bother to buy any other controllers just bcause they see no use for them. This is the mindset I had for quite a while, but I finally broke down and purchased one and now I’m here to give you the pro’s and con’s of this purchase.

So let’s start off the review by going over the overall build quality and initial impression of the Deep Red Dualshock 3 controller. When I first held the DualShock 3 Controller after I took it out of the package, I thought it felt a lot more solid, well built, and overall just had a satisfying feeling after spending the $50+ on a controller. The Dual Shock 3 controller feels nice and solid, it brings back those PS1 and PS2 memories and makes you feel at home with the next-gen system.
The one thing I can say about the Dual Shock 3 Controller right out of the box is that the analog nubs were a bit stiff, but if you’ve ever bought a new controller, this is to be expected. But don’t worry, after a few hours of hardcore gaming, the nubs loosen up and feel just like you imagine they should.

One of the huge pro’s to purchasing a DualShock 3 controller instead of sticking with the standard Six-Axis controller, is that if you’re planning on purchasing any attachments or add-ons for your controller, sometimes they don’t fit so well on the standard Six-Axis controller. This could be a large potential problem, especially if you spend another $20-60 for a simple attachment that may or may not fit correctly on the old controller. Thanks to Kontrol Freek for sending me over some Speed Freek and FPS Freek products to review, my eyes were opened to this problem and now am very satisfied with the new controller purchase.
As far as con’s go for this purchase, I looked around and could only find one potential problem that people said they were having. They said that it seemed like the Deep Red paint on the controller was thin in spots and you could see the internal lights showing through the front of their DualShock 3 Controller. I checked on mine and even with me trying to see the light through the front of the controller, I couldn’t pick it out, so maybe those people just got a bad batch of paint on their controller, but I don’t have that problem at all.
This about wraps up the Deep Red Dual Shock 3 Controller review. I honestly didn’t think that I could come up with so many things to discuss about a controller, but I guess I did, so I hope it was helpful and you keep coming back to check out future unboxings, reviews, and gadget reveals!
