Mighty Mouse Video Review

So here’s the Mighty Mouse review! I really love my Mighty Mouse and can’t say that I’ve ever used a better mouse before. It’s a little pricey, but overall I think it’s a quality mouse and well worth the money!

The overall look and feel of the Mighty Mouse, I think lives up to Apples standards. In my opinion, all of Apples products are pretty much plain and simple, yet elegant and sophisticated. I think the simple look contributes a lot to all of Apples products. The Mighty Mouse only has 5 customizable buttons and only 4 can be separately customized. The buttons are easy to press and very well placed. Overall the feel of the Mighty Mouse is very well thought out.

The scroll wheel is up next. When I first go the Mighty Mouse I thought the scroll wheel felt cheap and I didn’t think I was going to like it very much, but after some time of using it, I came to find that I really like this scroll wheel probably much more than any other one I’ve ever used. I’ve always been irritated with the scroll wheels that had like a gear that made you scroll a certain minimum amount and you couldn”t scroll less than that. Now with the Mighty Mouse, I don’t have that problem. I also really enjoy having the horizontal scroll feature available to me. I find that I use it a lot more than I thought I would and it really does make things much easier.

The BlueTooth connectivity is simply very well put together. Sticking with Apples simple and sleek design, the BlueTooth is turned on by a small switch that slides up or down and reveals the eyes for the Mighty Mouse. This is a really smart idea, being as when the Mighty Mouse is turned off, the eyes are covered up and protected from being damaged. There is only one flaw I see in this design. When turning on or off the Mighty Mouse, you have to make the Mighty Mouse click. This isn’t such a big deal, it just does sometimes end up actually selecting something and opening it up, it’s more of something just to watch out for.

I think that pretty much covers the entire Mighty Mouse and all of it’s features. With all of these things taken into consideration, I would definitely say that the Mighty Mouse really does live up to it’s name and I think this is a superb piece of technology that is definitely worth the money.

I’m going to get back to the weekly live sessions, but this time I’m going to be doing them on Ustream instead of BlogTv, because I think Ustream is more user friendly.

I’m considering adding a forum to Extreme-Days over my vacation and want to know your opinions on this? I think I’m going to make an exclusive membership option and give those members some benefits that the normal members wont have access to. If you have any suggestions of features or services I should include in the membership section, or just the forum itself, please let me know!

One more important bit of news, I accidentally deleted my video intro, so I want one of you to make an intro for me and send me the link to it! If I pick your intro for mine, I will use it in all the rest of my videos, (granted I don’t delete it again) from now on! I don’t have a prize to give away for that except that I will give you credit and use it in all my future videos!

I think that’s all the news for today and be sure to keep checking back for more info, I have a lot of ideas that I want to start working on while I’m away!

I’ve been wanting to switch over to the Mac Os X Platform for years, but I didn’t have the money or the motivation. Now that I’m going away for most of the summer, I needed a laptop and I decided to make the big buy!

I decided to purchase my 13″ Unibody Macbook Pro from Craigslist because purchasing a new Macbook was slightly out of my range. This turned out to be a bonus, as Apple’s Mighty Mouse and Incase’s Black Incase came included with my purchase. I will have separate reviews for each of these products later on.

I must say, for the first time owning a Mac, it’s not too hard to get used to, and the multitouch trackpad is just amazing! The trackpad should have been invented years ago, it is by far the easiest trackpad to pick up.

As far as I’m concerned, this is the best purchase I could have made and am extremely happy I bought it!

Check back later for my full reviews on everything included with my 13″ Unibody Macbook Pro!

Apples Updates At WWDC

Today the WWDC conference happened and Apple decided to give us an early Christmas!

Apple announced tons of new information and updates that are worth knowing about. Apple has some major news about the iPhone, the macbook, the macbook pro, the macbook air, the iPod Touch and some general all around news about everything else they have to offer.

First, and probably the biggest update, is the iPhone 3gs. Apple has revamped the iPhone 3g internally and is now calling their new product the iPhone 3gs. They decided not to make any external changes to the 3gs, but internally there’s a bit changed.

Apple has also released the 3.0 firmware for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Unfortunately for iPod Touch owners, the 3.0 firmware will be $9.99, but for all iPhone users it is free! This was a little disappointing, but maybe they’ll give a discount or something.

Apple has also been working on their Macbook Air recently and now has changed around the inner workings to make it into a much more powerful machine. In doing so, I think Apple has opened up the reach of the Macbook Air to lots more people who need a small laptop, but a little more power then the Air could offer before.

Apple has also changed around the Macbook and Macbook Pro families a little bit. Now the only Macbook that is still called a Macbook is the original, white, plastic Macbook. All of the other Macbooks moved into the Macbook Pro family. This is a pretty big change and along with that comes lots of price cuts so go check out the new prices.

Have a great week guys!

Jabra BT125 Review

I got my Jabra BT125 Blue Tooth Headset with my copy of Warhawk back when I first got my PS3 and here’s the review!

Overall the Jabra BT125 is a really solid and well performing headset especially for only $12.00! I would recommend the Jabra BT125 to anyone who doesn’t mind wearing a Bluetooth headset on their ear.

First I’ll start with the look of the Jabra headset. Out of the many headsets I’ve seen, I must say, the Jabra BT125 has a really sleek looking design and is easily one of the sexiest headsets I’ve come across. Although the design does nothing to improve the abilities of hte headset, the look does mean something and for the Jabra, the look is at its best!

The comfort level of the Jabra BT125 headset isn’t the best. To be honest I really don’t like the feel of many Bluetooth Headsets to begin with and Jabra could have put a little more thought into the comfort level of this bad boy. I found that after a while of using it, my ear would really start to hurt, but being as I was gaming, I ignored it until it turned from a sore ear into a throbbing headache. That was the main reason why I went out and bought the FreeStyler 500. I ended up sacrificing some quality and performance for the comfort, but that’s just me.

The sound quality on the Jabra BT 125 is really quite amazing for a $12.00 mic. I found that I never had to turn the volume to the maximum and I could always hear clearly and from what others have told me, they could hear me clearly as well. I never got any complaints in game lobbies from anyone telling me that my mic was buzzing so there’s no need to worry about that. As far as quality goes, this is probably among the best you’ll find in the Jabra’s price range.

Overall the Jabra BT125 is a solid headset and I really think it was very well designed. Again, the only negative thing was the comfort and that really kills this headset for me. If you’re looking for a headset, I’d say this is a great option and for only $12.00 it’s worth a shot!
