Bluetooth Bracelet Review

The Bluetooth Vibrating LED Alert Bracelet Video Review is here!

I finally received my Bluetooth Alert Bracelet and I’m super happy with it! I can’t complain about anything other then it doesn’t alert me when I get a text. This is understandable though, because it acts just like a bluetooth earpiece and only notifies you when you have an incoming call. I didn’t think that through before I bought it, but the bluetooth LED bracelet will still get a lot of use from me anyway!

The design is sleek, simple, and straight forward. All the mechanics are inside the plastic part in the middle, and there are two silicon bands attached to that which allow you to adjust the length of the band. The clip is just like a watch clip and works great, it hasn’t come open when I didn’t want it to so far.

The Bluetooth LED Alert Bracelet also comes with an LED that changes color based on the current stage. This is very helpful in letting you know what your doing when your trying to pair it with your bluetooth enabled phone.

The bracelet itself is a lot higher quality then I expected, especially for the price! It has a little bit of weight to it so you can feel that it was made well, but not so much weight where it gets annoying to wear around.

My opinion on the Bluetooth vibrating bracelet is that they got everything right when they made this and I can’t think of anything that they should change! I think it’s an awesome buy and hope you decide to give it a try!

LG Dare Video Review

LG Dare Video Review for this Friday’s gadget video review.

Purchase the LG Dare on Amazon.

DESIGN:
The design of the LG Dare is pretty awesome! I can’t really find much to complain about with the design, I think they got it good!

BUTTON PLACEMENT: The button placement is pretty good on the LG Dare. The only thing I can complain about is how the call button can be pressed so easily, but other than that, LG did a great job on where they put the buttons.

SCREEN DURABILITY: The LG Dare’s touch screen is fairly durable. I have never dropped my Dare or slid it screen down on anything, but I still have a few minor surface scratches on the screen. I think this is just from normal wear and tear of being used and being carried in my pocket. I’ve been careful never to carry anything in the same pocket as my Dare that could possibly scratch it so I’m not really sure where they came from.

UNLOCK GLITCH: When LG made their Dare they overlooked a slight glitch that was discovered. Unfortunately the glitch isn’t really a helpful one. When the screen of the LG Dare is locked, if you press the call button and the picture button at the same time, the screen unlocks and brings up the recent calls menu. This, in turn, makes it very easy for you to end up calling someone in your pocket as your going about your daily business. As far as I know, there is no fix for this glitch and I’m not sure there ever will be.

TOUCH SCREEN: The LG Dare’s touchscreen is supposedly high end. I’ve found that it was very hard to get used to the touchscreen at first, but after a few weeks it wasn’t such an issue anymore. I’ve got to say though that in the beginning it was very annoying having to type so slow, but practice makes perfect!

CAMERA: The camera in the LG Dare is the highest I’ve ever seen in a phone. Now I haven’t owned a lot of phones in the past, but the Dare’s quality almost matches a decent digital camera’s quality. The one thing I didn’t like about it is that it takes such high quality pictures, that if you email yourself the pictures from the Dare, it automatically re sizes the photo to be able to be sent through the text message. I haven’t been able to find any other way of getting the pictures off of the phone if you don’t have an SD card.

SPEAKER QUALITY: The quality of the speakers in the LG Dare is amazing! When I first heard it ring I didn’t think it was even a phone, I thought it was my stereo system playing my ring tone somehow. I can’t stress enough how high the quality of the speakers in the LG Dare are!

BATTERY LIFE: The LG Dare’s battery life lasts about 3 and a half days of my normal use. This is not exact, I’ve just estimated this, if you want the exact details, go check out Verizon’s website.

WEIGHT: The weight of the LG Dare is extremely light, when you first pick it up it feels fake. If you like your gadgets to have some weight to them, the LG Dare is going to take some getting used to. I usually like to have a phone that is a little heavier than the LG Dare, but after a couple days of use, you will get used to it.

CUSTOMIZATION: As far as customization goes, the LG Dare has great options for the main menu. The Dare allows you to drag and drop any shortcut anywhere on your main “desktop” of the Dare. You also have the option to move these icons wherever you want on that home screen. As far as themes go, there are only two standard themes that come with it. Unfortunately, these two themes are black and white. I think LG gypped us with this one, they could have easily added a couple more themes at least with some colors, but we have what they gave us and we can’t do much about it.

Street Fighter IV Review – PS3

Street Fighter IV review, another awesome Playstation 3 title!

A lot of people have been talking to me about Street Fighter 4. They kept asking me if I was going to buy it and I was thinking about it for a while, but then I decided to wait.

Buy Street Fighter IV for Playstation 3

Buy Street Fighter for Xbox 360

The reason for waiting was because they never gave us a demo, so all that we have to go from is trailers, screenshots, and written articles trying to describe what the new Street Fighter really is all about. Without the hands on aspect of it, I think Capcom made a big mistake there. Even if they gave us a very limited demo like we got for Killzone 2, I think that would have sealed the deal for all of those people who are still on the fence about buying it. I think that Capcom is going to do well anyway just because Street Fighter is a classic and everyone used to play it back in the day.

Two days after Soul Calibur IV came out, I went and bought it at Best Buy. Even though Soul Calibur IV is a great game, I personally didn’t get a whole lot of use out of it. That is the reason I’m so hesitant on buying Street Fighter IV. I think I will use it every day for about a month and then lose interest in it and it will just sit in the case on my desk for months until I take it out for a day or two and put it back again.

One more thing I’m worried about is the online play. Street Fighter and Soul Calibur are very closely related games and the whole concept is pretty much exactly the same. So with what people are doing on Soul Calibur IV online, what is going to stop them from doing the same thing on Street Fighter IV? It’s fun for a while until you play someone who just does the same move over and over and over again. Even if you can block or counter it and fight back, it’s just not fun. Or when someone just mashes buttons and ends up winning somehow, that’s no fun either. I can deal with these things, but when every other person you play against does one of these two things, it gets to be more an aggravation than a game to sit down and kick some butt on.

In my opinion, games like this you’re either having fun or just getting mad. Even when you’re playing someone in the same room as you, the person that’s winning is always happy and laughing, but when you’re the one losing it just isn’t a whole lot of fun. That’s my take on it anyway and I’m not saying not to buy Street Fighter 4. I’m just giving you my opinions on what I think is going to happen with this game.

Hopefully I’ll be back tomorrow for Friday’s gadget review, I’m sorry it’s not going to be on the bluetooth bracelet like I had planned, I’m probably going to do it on my LG Dare instead so that you guys at least have something to watch tomorrow. Anyway, I’ll see you then!

Twitter is now a part of me! I’ve had a Twitter account for a long time, but I never got around to Tweeting anything. Now I’m making it a habit to keep posting updates on Twitter, as I’m on the computer almost all day long, I figured why not? So, if you use Twitter or even if you don’t, go make an account and follow me to stay up to date on everything that I’m planning on doing and get your questions answered if you have any. I am also hoping that you guys will let me know what you’re looking for in my videos so that I’m putting out videos that you are interested in! I’m a human too, it’s okay to drop in and say ‘hi’ every once in a while, it’s nice to hear from my followers!

Follow My Tweets With Twitter!

I’ve been doing a lot of work in the beginning of this week and Extreme-Days.com is now up for good! The problems have been resolved and hopefully no more will arise! If you aren’t already signed up, then what are you waiting for? Just click the ‘Sign Up’ button in the sidebar so you can be up to date with everything that’s going on. If you don’t want to keep checking back to the blog to get updates, just grab the RSS feed and you will get everything that comes out through the RSS Feed. If any of you would like to help with running that, like being moderators, just stay active, leave meaningful comments, and just basically prove yourself worthy. If you don’t like one of my posts, then leave a comment and let me know why that is so that I can try and make future blog posts more interesting to you and everyone else! The Blog Homepage

I have also made a Facebook group to semi substitute for a forum where all of you can go and ask questions and discuss basically anything! I figured this would be easier for everyone because it’s less work for me, and less work for you. If you already use Facebook, then every time you sign in to check on things, you will see what’s going on in the group right away instead of having to go to another site every day to check in on things. I’m hoping that I can get some administrators to help me run the group and keep things rolling and answer questions and keep things under control. If you’re interested in this, just let me know. I’m going to wait until next week to start putting the weekly videos up in the Facebook group so that you guys have some time to join the group and ask any questions that you may have.

Join The Facebook Group

The last topic I’d like to touch on is BlogTv. I’m considering putting some time aside as often as I can to go on BlogTv for an hour or two and just hang out with all of you guys. A lot of people are using BlogTv now and if you guys are interested in, and would attend to, me going on BlogTv once in a while, please let me know so I can see if anyone is even interested. I think this would be fun for us all and help us to get to know everyone better and just chill.

Finish off you week strong everybody!

Killzone 2 – Released on Feb 27, 2009

Killzone 2, a Playstation 3 exclusive, is, without a doubt this Fridays game of the month. I just finished downloading the Killzone 2 demo about an hour ago and played through it a couple of times and I am impressed! All the hype for Killzone 2 was pointing in the direction of awesome, but I didn’t believe it, until I played the demo.

Buy Killzone 2 for PS3 on Amazon.

Even though the demo is short, it gave us a good enough look at what Killzone 2 is going to have to offer.

One thing I didn’t like about it was the sensitivity, I think they need to add a couple more sensitivity options, because I turned it all the way up and it was still extremely slow, for my taste anyway. I can deal with it how it is, but it definitely hinders my game play abilities with it being so slow.

Another thing that I liked and disliked was that you can run forever, you never run out of stamina or energy. This is cool, but isn’t very realistic. I think that most games that put a limit on how long you can run for, make the limit too short, but Killzone 2 has no limit at all and I think they should put some kind of limit on it.

Graphic wise, Killzone 2 takes the cake without a doubt! If you just look at the stock of the gun while you’re reloading, it’s amazing the detail that has been put into this game! Another thing that is along the lines of graphics is how they did the effects of when you get shot. Other games have tried to do the same thing, but something about how it was done in Killzone 2 makes all the difference.

As far as the guns go, the only thing that I can complain about is the recoil, this may be because I wasn’t used to the sensitivity so that may have played a part, but dealing with the recoil is very doable in my opinion.

As far as I’m concerned, this game is a must have for all ps3 owners. Just go make the European account and download this demo and give it a shot.

So that’s it for this Friday and happy Valentines Day everyone! Enjoy your weekend!
