Clutter Can Cramp Your Social Life
Oftentimes what happens when a home becomes cluttered is that the homeowner stops entertaining. When friends stop by, they may even meet them out on the front porch instead of inviting them in for a cup of coffee. Nobody wants to feel ashamed of their home. Equally, nobody really likes that uncomfortable feeling when a friend comes in and reacts to the stack of magazines taking up an entire kitchen counter. Gripshift is a downloadable game for the ps3 and 360 and this is my video review for Gripshift! Right off the bat this game looks a lot easier than it really is to play, but after 10 or 15 minutes of practice, the controls come natural and Gripshift becomes extremely addictive and enjoyable! I can guarantee that anyone that likes puzzle racing games will love Gripshift! Gripshift has the perfect combination of the racing and puzzle aspect of games, but keeps the casual gamer in mind as well. So if you just want a game to waste some time and have some fun, Gripshift will work!

For a Playstation Network game that is DLC, Gripshift provides an insanely wide variety of customization options and has the most levels that I’ve ever seen in a PSN game! Gripshift will provide you with hours of entertainment and even some frustration. I have to say that some of the levels get pretty difficult to figure out how to get through them and beat the level entirely. That being said, I must admit, I have had to look up videos of how to get through levels a few times because I just didn’t have the patience.

The wide range of customization offered reminds me of the Need For Speed series, where you can pretty much customize everything you would want to. Now, that being said, this is only a PSN game, so don’t expect to build a car from scratch, but I think you will be surprised with what Gripshift has brought to the table for us all to enjoy.

I must say that with everything that Gripshift has offered, that they could have done a better job with their range of characters. I think they could have spent some more time adding at least four or five more characters, but that’s just my opinion.

I’m going to have to give the Gripshift controls a 10 out of 10 because all the buttons do exactly what you think they would do, the graphics are a 9 out of 10 because it’s a PSN game so the graphics aren’t the best thing you’ve ever seen, but they’re impressive for a PSN title, and the overall gameplay is great!

This is starting to sound like I’m advertising for them, but this is my honest opinion on Gripshift. I love this game and if you don’t have it and you like puzzle games or like racing mini games, then you must buy this game!

The website is called audiko.net. So bring up a browser and head on over to audiko’s website and follow along with me. When you first arrive on their site you will be presented with a screen that looks very clean and almost like YouTube’s website in a way. The first thing you see looks like an advertisement and then a searchbar underneath that. If you are looking to get a premade ringtone, then just type in the name of the ringtone in the searchbar and press the enter key on your keyboard and a whole bunch of results will be displayed for you. Just look through these until you have come across the one you were looking for and click on it. You will be brought to a page that looks like a music player. It has a picture of the album artwork and the title and a playbar. If you would like to hear the ringtone before you download it, then you can press the play button. Once you’re satisfied with your selection, below there are a few links for downloading your tone. Choose the one thats right for you and click it. Now just wait for it to download and once its done, just transfer it over to your phone and enjoy!

Now what if you have been looking and can’t find your ringtone already made by someone else? Or maybe you just want to create your own ringtone from the sound of a video you’ve seen on YouTube? Well you can always use the ringtone creator built in to audiko’s website for free! Just click on the Upload or enter a URL link in the banner looking thing at the top of their page and follow the steps that come up.

If you have clicked the Upload link, then you will have a box pop up on your screen where you can locate your audio file on your computer. Once you’ve found it just click open. You will now be presented with a screen that looks like a video editing program. Don’t freak out just yet, because this is alot more simple then it looks! All you have to do is select the beginning and the end point that you want for the sound clip and if you want a fade in or fade out. Once that is done, continue on and fill in the details of your ringtone. For this step you want to fill this out truthfully so that other people can find your ringtone that you have created. After this step is complete audiko will create your ringtone for you and make it available for download! Now just choose the download type that is right for your phone type, and enjoy your new ringtone!

Rock Band 2 or Guitar Hero 3? Everyone asks this question when considering purchasing one or the other, so I’m going to tell you what I think about them both and let you decide!

The overall look of the Rockband 2 guitar controller, in my opinion, looks much cleaner and realistic and I personally like the look of it more. This being said, Guitar Hero 3 did come out first and quite a while before so they didn’t have anything to improve on except their original design from the previous Guitar Hero’s.

I prefer the Guitar Hero 3 buttons over the Rockband 2 buttons because they’re easier to navigate when you’re not looking at them. I find that with the Rockband 2 guitar, I lose my fingering a lot more often and then have a difficult time trying to get it back without looking down at my hand. Another downside to the Rock Band guitar and a plus to the Guitar Hero controller is that Guitar Hero has a big raised line on the yellow button that you can easily feel and tell which finger the yellow button is on. The Rock Band guitar has little pin bumps, which, with a little bit of use, wear right down to nothing so there is no way of telling what button your finger is on.

As far as the strum bar goes, I prefer the Guitar Hero 3 version again, but I can easily deal with the Rockband 2 version. The only thing I don’t like about the Rock Band 2 strum bar is that you can’t hear or feel the click when you’ve strummed up or down. Again, this is just my preference, but I could use either and it doesn’t hinder my game play too much.

My opinion on the whammy bar is that I would prefer a mix between the two. I think that Guitar Hero got it right with the angle of the bar, but messed up with the length, but Rockband got the length right and the angle off. If they made the length as long as the Rock Band 2 version and the angle the angle of the Guitar Hero 3 version I think it would be golden!

The other controls on both guitars are fine with me, I have no preference of which setup I like better in this area. One cool thing that Rock Band implemented is a button to change which controller number you are without having to go into the settings in the XMB. So I think my vote would have to go to Rockband 2 for the additional controls.

Rockband also implemented a cool idea with the strap nubs. They made them to be screwed in so that you could move the nub to make the guitar controller for either a lefty or a righty player. This, I think, was a very smart move by Rock Band 2.

While I’m at it, I might as well mention that the Rock Band 2 guitar controller has an on/off switch in the back. This gets great use, from me anyway, as I don’t have to worry about hitting the PS button on the Rockband guitar when I don’t intend to use it.

I think that just about sums up all the differences that I thought were notable between the two guitar versions. I would say, don’t base your opinion on which guitar I like, but for you to go out yourself and try both guitars and see which one feels more comfortable to you. It doesn’t matter what it looks like, but if it’s going to hinder your game play just to look pretty, I’d say go with the one that fits your playing style!

The Cyberpower hub connects to your main USB port through a mini USB cable that comes included with the hub itself. The hub is made out of semi-transparent, hard plastic that enables you to see the four LED indicator lights that let you know which USB’s are in use.

With all the experience that I’ve had using the Cyberpower hub, there is nothing that would make me buy a different USB hub. If you’re looking for a few extra USB ports, I highly recommend the Cyberpower USB hub!
