Resident Evil 5 Review
Resident Evil 5 was released on March 13th, 2009 and already had a large array of fans from the previous releases in the series. Unfortunately, I didn’t get around to purchasing this title until about a full year after it’s release date. The reason for this was just because I was never really a huge fan of the series, in fact, I had hardly even played any of the previous titles.

Let’s start off the review this time with the graphics breakdown. Overall, taking into consideration when Resident Evil 5 was released and the graphics that were being produced by other games released around the same time, Resident Evil 5 has pretty well done graphics. Most of the time I was completely satisfied with them and had nothing to complain about, but occasionally I would come across something small, like a texture or the background that’s outside of the map boundaries.
The only big thing graphicwise that I thought needed some more TLC were the zombies. Most of the textures on them were poorly done and just looked like a sloppy job to me. But other than that, I would say the graphics were very well done and they made Resident Evil 5 look great.

Next up is the overall storyline and gameplay. I started to play Resident Evil 5 on my own, through the single player campaign and I have to say that makes the game no fun at all. The only way that I had fun playing through the campaign was by playing with a friend co-op through it. Playing with the CPU was just boring and I thought it was just no fun at all. So if you’re thinking of purchasing this game for the single player campaign, I would say don’t waste your money, because it is no fun at all. Other than that, the rest of the gameplay was good and it had a good story to go along with it.
Overall, Resident Evil 5 is a well made game and I would say it’s not a must buy, but it doesn’t hurt to have it laying around just encase you’re in the mood for rocking some zombies!
