The Playstation Move was the big hit of Christmas 2010, everybody everywhere wanted one and most of the stores had run out of stock because of such high demand, but I managed to get my hands on one and after playing around with it for a few weeks, I think it’s time to let all of you know what I think of it!

First I want to start off and answer a common question people have been discussing about the PS Move. Everyone is wondering if the PS Move is just the same thing as the Wii just more expensive. The answer to this question is, well, yes in a way and no in a different way. Firstly, the PS Move is similar because it accomplishes the same or close to the same thing as the Wii does, but the Playstation Move does it absolutely without a doubt hundreds of times better than the Wii ever could. The technology used within the PS Move has been around in the PC community for a while and has been proven to be one of the most if not the most accurate tracking software that exists right now.
Next up I’m going to go over how well the overall construction was designed. To me, the Wii controller never fit well in my hand, I felt that it was too square and boxy for my liking and have found that the Move controllers are much better designed. In fact, I can only think of one thing that I would say would improve the Move Navigation Controllers. Instead of having the button pad squared off, they should have made it diagonal just like every other Sony Playstation controller. I think that changing this could make gameplay slightly more difficult for getting used to, but after a few games it shouldn’t be too hard to adjust.

Now I’m going to quickly touch on the accuracy of the Playstation Move before we move on to the Sports Champions overview. In a sentence, the accuracy is as close to perfect as it can get as long as you obey the onscreen calibration instructions. If you don’t carry out the instructions as stated, the calibration will be off and you might think that the PS Move is junk, but in all honesty it’s not very hard to calibrate it correctly and once done right, this allows for hours upon hours of virtual reality fun!
If you buy the PS Move Bundle, not only will you get the Playstation Eye and Navigation Controller, but you will get the Sports Champions PS3 exclusive game as well! Now I’m just going to quickly go over what I think of it and if I think it’s worth purchasing if you had bought the PS Move accessories outside of a bundle.
Basically Sports Champions is just a compilation of a few sports games put together and created to work well with the PS Move. Graphicwise this game is not too bad, I figured with a cartoony throw together bundle game that the graphics were going to be nothing worth looking at, but they actually have a lot of attention to detail. Now don’t get me wrong Sports Champions is no Crysis, but it isn’t a PS2 game either.
This pretty much wraps up the game part, I think they could have added another sport or two or even swapped out one sport for another to make it more interesting, but overall this is a great party game, I’ve had so much fun playing this with a bunch of people, it really provides some awesome entertainment even for those who are just watching others play! As far as my recommendations on purchasing this title, I would say if you can pick it up cheap for a few dollars it would be worth it for the party aspect and even worth it just to warm you up to the feel of the PS Move and how it functions in-game as you prepare yourself for the wait of the real games coming out in the next couple quarters this year!
